CRMRS, or GoFertility, is led by Dr. Saji Jacob, a board-certified OB/GYN since 2006, reproductive endocrinologist, embryologist and infertility specialist. He is also board-certified as a high-complexity clinical lab director (HCLD), making him one of a small handful of doctors in the U.S. with these dual-certification credentials. Dr. Jacob is likewise certified in robotic surgery and trains doctors in robot-assisted gynecological procedures as an industry-leading proctor.

Minimal Access Surgery

Also called minimally invasive, laparoscopic or keyhole surgery, minimal access surgery uses small incisions less than an inch in size. Compared to its more traditional, open surgery counterpart, minimal access surgeries don’t include extensive cuts through the skin, muscle, tissues or nerves. The result is an effective procedure by Dr. Jacob that includes less blood, less post-op pain, a quicker recovery and fewer scars. Some of GoFertility’s minimally invasive surgery options include:

Robotic Surgery

Dr. Jacob is in control of a Da Vinci robotic system that precisely mimics Dr. Jacob’s hand and finger movements during operation. Robot-assisted surgeries feed real-time images via powerful, miniature 3D cameras to a highly magnified computer monitor, providing greater visibility to the operating surgeon.

These high-tech robotic surgeries are also minimally invasive with small incisions required. They allow a greater range of motion and dexterity as well as improved access for Dr. Jacob and his assisting team during operation. Often affiliated with improved safety, fewer complications and excellent precision, robotic surgeries are a great match for complex cases in endometriosis, hysterectomies and fibroid removal.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

Frequently used to treat patients coping with menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats and vaginal discomfort, hormone replacement therapy is a highly effective method to replacing estrogen a female’s body no longer produces. The two types of treatment — systemic therapy and low-dose vaginal products — come in different forms including pills, patches, gels, creams, sprays and rings.

As its name implies, hormone replacement therapy includes female hormones and restores estrogen when your body no longer produces it. Hormone therapy for post-menopause has also been proven to prevent bone loss and reduce the risk of bones fracturing as you age. Annual Well-Women Exam

Yearly well-women assessments are conducted by Dr. Jacob — a board-certified OB/GYN — and our expert team to ensure your physical and mental well-being are on track. Annual well-women exams include a general physical exam, review of your current health and family health history and update/refill of any current medications.

Additionally, the yearly assessments include a breast exam, pelvic exam and Pap smear for early detection of any potential issues, such as abnormal lumps or cervical cell changes.
